Nonwovens for the cable industry

We supply the optimal and individually matched fleece types for almost all cable types. Each of our products is designed to meet your requirements.

Some applications of our nonwovens:

  • E-mobility - charging cables

Good to know:

  • - Some of our nonwovens reach an impressive 90% of their swelling height after only 1 minute and their absolute values after a maximum of 5 minutes.
  • - Our brands such as: emuco GTST, emuco GTSB, emuco GTSF & emuco GTT are trademarked & guarantee a consistently excellent quality.
  • You already have your own fleece? We would be happy to cut your fleeces for you and wind them onto disc or cross wound spools
  • We print our or your nonwovens with appropriate logo

Facts:

Swelling fleeces:
  • They are applied for longitudinal waterproofing in all types of cables
  • used for cushioning between sheath & shield
  • Semi-conductive nonwovens provide sufficient contact between the conductive layer and the screen
  • Film-coated nonwovens prevent polymer penetration when the sheath is applied
Seawater nonwovens:
  • - They are equipped with special swelling agents that react and seal the cable even when salt water penetrates at great depths
Thermal/chemical release nonwovens:
  • Are used for bandaging
  • Used for cushioning & ply separation
  • For use over stranded conductors and over metal shielding
Semiconductive Nonwoven Separators:
  • - Like the semiconductive swellable nonwovens, provide sufficient contact between the conductive layer and the metal screen
  • The strengths, elongation behavior and thermal load capacity are of course adapted to the respective application!
